The first in a series of interviews with candidates in the 3 races for County Supervisor this June, we talk with incumbent Kate Sears and her opponent, Susan Kirsch in southern Marin’s District 3. We discuss the development plan for the Seminary property in Strawberry, the need for affordable housing, traffic congestion, and other issues.

June, 2015

Our guest is Marin County Sheriff and Coroner Robert Doyle. We get an overview of the department, talk about Doyle’s firing of a deputy for improper use of force—and his reinstatement by the county Personnel Board. We also talk about the department’s expanded role in dispatching Central Marin officers, and its collection of crime fighting gear, including the armored Bearcat.

In our second segment, Peter B. Collins visits the OWLS in Mill Valley, which are new viewfinders that depict sea level rise scenarios in Marin’s low-lying areas. The report features Supervisor Kathrin Sears and OWLized founder Aaron Selverson.
